Love, food and cooking. . .

"There are so many clichés about love, food and cooking," she said. "But cooking with your lover is a great way to see where your relationship is. I have been called an alpha cook, but when I am in love, the man can put as much salt, cream and butter into the dish as he wants. Even if it's ruined, it's still the best dish you've ever eaten."

Me thinks these are the most beautiful words I have read on love, on being in love. Not that I have read a lot. But isn't this what true love is all about? About embracing it all? The good, the bad and the ugly.

I feel blessed to be loved. I have been showered with so much love, it overwhelms me. Am I really worthy of it? I don't know. I really don't. Am I reciprocating even half of it? Or am I still that selfish 20-year-old who wanted it all? I hope not.

The past year and a half has made me stronger, and weaker. Yes, I've been blessed. Thank you, my love.
